Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie has reached new heights of success as now it can be considered Japan’s Highest-Grossing movie of all time.
The movie that didn’t let other films do well in the box office was first released in Japan in July, 2025, earning $70,611,098 in its first week.
The film has now shattered records as it stands on approximately $730 million grossing globally in the box office.
Notably, the movie is the sequel of the anime series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba with second season as Demon Slayer: Mugen Train and third as Demon Slayer: The Swordsmith Village.
The franchise originated from a popular Japanese manga written and pictured by the artist, Koyoharu Gotouge.
The story follows a boy, Tanjirao, whose family got attacked and died except his sister, who becomes a demon, embarks a journey to make her human again and becomes a demon hunter to protect her.
Notably, some hot spots in China also helped the movie gain the title of highest-grossing movie as of now as it has earned $52 million there.
The international box office has hit $596,044,009, with satisfied fans, who are waiting for the continuation.
The movie featured a runtime of 155 minutes with another part on its way as it focuses on every character’s individual stories.
For the unversed, the anticipated next part is slated for a release in 2029.
