Brendan Fraser has dished on the fourth installment of The Mummy, after the cast of the series reunited a few months ago.
The father-of-three cemented himself as the iconic adventurer Rick O'Connell in the cult classic trilogy, and is now creating buzz around the next part.
In an interview with Associated Press, the Academy Award winner stated regarding the fourth, "The one I wanted to make was never made, I’m proud of the third one because I think it’s a good standalone movie… but the one I wanted to make is forthcoming.”
The Whale star continued, “I’ve been waiting 20 years for this call. Sometimes it was loud, sometimes it was a faint telegraph. Now? It’s time to give the fans what they want."
Brendan was photographed with former The Mummy Returns co-stars Patricia Velásquez (who plays Anck-Su-Namun), John Hannah (who portrays Jonathan Carnahan) and Oded Fehr (who plays Ardeth Bay) without Rachel Weisz but she is reportedly still tied to the film.
Notably, the plot details as well as a potential release date have not been announced and the directors for the movie are also yet to be disclosed.
Rachel declined to return to the third film in the series due to personal and script related issues.
