After The Hunt movie, directed by Luca Guadagnino was released theatrically on October 10 and is now available to stream on Prime Video as well.

The movie stars Andrew Garfield, Julia Roberts, and Eyo Edebiri as the main leads as they discover the impact of power and consent.

The movie is rated 37% from 203 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and is so far known as a flop among critics as few described the movie as a "disappointment" and one labeled it as a “Too harmless for the burning issue it considers , and too stilted to be entertaining.”

The movie circles around the important issues that are not usually addressed and features the #metoo movement’s era’s storyline.

Although the director has emphasised that it is not linked to the movement, it is still considered political.

Despite the reviews by critics, the movie has also earned its name among netizens for focusing on taboo topics that are not brought up in conversations.

One reviewer wrote, “It was an engaging thriller that left you with so many questions, Loved the rather unusual filming techniques.”

Another fan wrote, “Pure genius and good.”

Some fans also questioned the reviews and think that the ratings might go up with time when people realize it is not a typical movie and carries much more weight than that.

“Got terrible reviews, but I really liked the movie, we had a clear view of how different generations react to that type of situation. I thought it was fascinating.” one person concluded on the Rotten Tomatoes website.

For the unversed, the movie was launched today on November 20 on Prime Video.
