Daniel Radcliffe reveals how he feels about new ‘Harry Potter’ cast

Daniel Radcliffe is keeping up with the young Dominic McLaughlin, who is set to follow in his footsteps by playing the iconic Harry Potter on TV.

The Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince star has been immortalised as the classic representation of the character and is all love and praise for the new cast.

In an appearance on Good Morning America, the 36-year-old was asked about the upcoming HBO series which has an 11-year-old Dominic playing the titular character.

"I wouldn’t say that anyone who is going to play Harry has to [reach out], And I have a very sweet, I know a few people who are working on the production so I wrote to Dominic and I sent him a letter and he sent me a very sweet note back,” Daniel said.

The Miracle Workers actor emphasised that he doesn’t want to be a ghost in the new cast’s lives, revealing the sentiment he had in his note.

"I just wanted to write to him to say, ‘I hope you have the best time, and an even better time than I did — I had a great time, but I hope you have an even better time,' and I do, I just see these pictures of him and the other kids and I just want to hug them,” Daniel disclosed.

Notably, the television series is an adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s classic books and is currently in production, and set to air in 2027.
