Ryan Reynolds gives major update on new ‘Deadpool 4’ movie

Ryan Reynolds finally talks about the return of another Deadpool movie.

The Canadian-American actor has reportedly confirmed about the fourth installment during a recent appearance at Fanatics Fest 2026, two years after the success of Deadpool and Wolverine movie.

Speaking onstage, during a video shared on X, Reynolds reveals that another Deadpool movie is in the works.

“There’s a few really deep cuts that I think are missing behind the movies. I think there’s a few deep cuts missing from some of the comics,” says the 49-year-old celebrity.

The Free Guy actor, who didn’t give any additional detail about the movie, mentions, “There’s certainly some stuff that I love that Fabian Nicieza [co-creator of Deadpool] wrote that is incredible. Gerry Duggan, who was a friend, was an incredible comic writer.”

However, Reynolds drops hints about the movie, adding, “There’s stuff upcoming. There’s remotely another Deadpool film. It’s going to be great.”

Meanwhile, fans have expressed their excitement after learning about Deadpool 4 movie.

One social media user writes on X, “Ryan Reynolds always seems to have new ideas for Deadpool.”

Another remarks, “Deadpool pulling out the deep cuts is exactly what fans want.”

“Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool, no one else comes close,” adds a netizen.

Following the release of Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024, the Proposal actor opened up that he would like to make a movie that would “centre” around his antihero character, Deadpool, in the forthcoming installment.

Earlier, Reynolds told NBC’s Sunday Today, “I have some stuff kind of written, but I don't think I am ever going to centre him again.”

“He is a supporting character. He is a guy who is great in a group,” added the Adam Project actor.
