Marvel Studios has finally unveiled the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday giving fans their clearest look yet at the blockbuster that will reshape the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The trailer officially introduces Robert Downey Jr. as Victor Von Doom marking the Oscar winner's highly anticipated return to Marvel in a completely new role after more than a decade as Tony Stark/Iron Man.

The footage teases Doom as the franchise's next major threat with the villain standing at the centre of a multiverse crisis.

The action-packed preview also brings together heroes from across the MCU including the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.

Fans get glimpses of Pedro Pascal's Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby's Sue Storm, Patrick Stewart's Professor X, Ian McKellen's Magneto and several returning Marvel favourites as multiple universes collide.

Alongside the large-scale battles and emotional character moments the trailer hints that Doctor Doom's arrival will force former allies to unite against a threat unlike anything they've faced before setting up what appears to be Marvel's biggest crossover since Avengers: Endgame.

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo who return to the franchise after helming Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theatres on December 18, 2026 with the events of the film expected to lead directly into Avengers: Secret Wars.
