Tom Holland reveals how Zendaya’s threat pushed him to take ‘Odyssey’ role
American actor shares interesting story how he got the role in Christopher Nolan directed movie
Tom Holland recently revealed how Zendaya’s ultimatum pushed him to take up the role in epic movie, The Odyssey.
The American actor was in conversation with other movie stars including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway and Christopher Nolan to discuss moviemaker’s latest movie in an interview with People magazine.
Holland recalled that he agreed doing Nolan’s movie after the Euphoria actress threatened him of leaving the Uncharted actor.
“To be honest, when I got home after our meeting, I sat down with Z and was like, ‘I’ve been offered this movie,’” said Holland referencing Zendaya, with whom he seemingly confirmed his marriage in previous interview.
The Impossible actor went on saying, “And she was like, ‘By who?’ And I was like, ‘It’s the big one.’ And she was like, ‘Chris?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, it’s Chris Nolan.’”
“And then we had Spider-Man that was literally scheduled to go the same day that we would start shooting,” remarked Holland.
The Spider-Man: Brand New Day actor explained, “Z said, ‘I’ll leave you if you don’t do The Odyssey.”
“Yes. Well, thank you to her,” quipped Nolan.
Holland added, “Here I am.”
