Anya Taylor-Joy recently weighed in on Timothee Chalamet’s comment about her character in upcoming Dune: Part Three movie.
The actress was in conversation with People magazine at the Lucky series premiere in Los Angeles when she was asked to share her reaction to Chalamet, calling her character, Alia Atreides “terrifying” in the movie.
Taylor-Joy said with a smile that if she could “scare Timmy, then we’re off to a good start”.
The journalist questioned that whether she took Chalamet’s comment as a compliment, she instantly replied, “Yes, absolutely.”
Earlier, the Wonka actor shared his thoughts about Taylor-Joy’s role in the highly anticipated movie.
“She is unbelievable in this movie. Visually, it was breathtaking … she’s actually terrifying and amazing,” remarked the 30-year-old actor while speaking at the Global IMAX Fan event on July 8.
He also recalled Taylor-Joy’s first day on set in her Alia’s getup and visually, “it was breathtaking”.
“She is unbelievable in this movie. That's not media hyperbole. She's actually terrifying and amazing,” he told the audience.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Part Three is set to release in theatres on December 18.
