Colman Domingo could soon be adding another major Disney project to his growing list of achievements, with the award-winning actor reportedly in talks to co-write a live-action film centred on Princess Tiana.
The 56-year-old Michael star is said to be discussing the script alongside acclaimed playwright and director Robert O'Hara, with the project inspired by Disney's beloved 2009 animated hit The Princess and the Frog.
The original film followed ambitious waitress Tiana as she chased her dream of owning a restaurant, only to find herself transformed after kissing a frog prince in 1920s New Orleans.
Actress Anika Noni Rose famously voiced the determined Disney heroine.
The possible writing role marks another exciting step for Domingo, who has made no secret of his ambition to do far more than simply act.
Speaking at Variety's Creative Conscience Award last month, the Euphoria star said he is finally being recognised as the "multi-hyphenate" he has always wanted to be, explaining that his goal has never been limited to acting alone.
He said he has long dreamed of writing, directing and producing alongside his work in front of the camera.
Away from Disney, Domingo has also been making headlines for his role in Steven Spielberg's upcoming sci-fi thriller Disclosure Day, where he stars alongside Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor and Eve Hewson.
The actor admitted working with the legendary filmmaker left him feeling genuinely starstruck, describing Spielberg's set as a place where imagination flourishes and saying he still finds himself in awe despite his decades-long career.
Domingo also revealed he firmly believes intelligent life exists beyond Earth, insisting humanity cannot possibly be alone in the universe.
