American actor Ben Affleck hands over company to streaming giant after secret deal
Ben Affleck, who is known for his role in movies, grabbed the headlines after launching his AI company with a positive motto.
The 53-year-old kept his fans intrigued about the enterprise before handing it over to Netflix as part of a massive deal between the two.
During an SEC filing, the streaming giant revealed that they paid $587 million in cash which was disclosed in form 10-Q.
They finalised the acquisition in March 2026, finalising the process which “was accounted for as a business combination for a total purchase price of approximately $587 million,” in cash.
It is to be noted that the filing does not mention InterPositive, founded by the Hollywood A-list star while the amount was listed in “the company’s Q1 10-Q” submitted in May.
After The Accountant actor laid the foundation of InterPositive in 2022, many wondered what the AI company was about.
It has been described as an enterprise looking forward to step in to the AI-space and explore visual effects without causing any damage to the creative part of filmmaking.

Ben explained in a post at the time that he acknowledges his responsibility to “my peers and our industry, to protect the power of human creativity and people behind it.”
He insisted that InterPositive is part of the “technology” which has “evolved alongside the artists who use it.”
