Prince Harry has announced a visit to Toronto this week, just as Prince William began his high-profile trip to Brazil for the Earthshot Prize Awards.
The timing has sparked renewed speculation over the brothers’ ongoing estrangement, with both men now on separate continents promoting very different causes.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, will travel to Canada for a series of engagements tied to the country’s annual Remembrance period, meeting with veterans, serving military personnel, and charities including the True Patriot Love Foundation and The Halo Trust.
A spokesperson for the Duke insisted the visit was “months in the planning,” adding: “Toronto holds a special place in the Duke’s heart, having hosted the Invictus Games in 2017.”
Harry’s schedule includes a lunch with veterans on Wednesday followed by a private fundraiser that evening, coincidentally, the same day Prince William will host the Earthshot ceremony in Rio de Janeiro.
Sources close to Harry emphasised that his trip was arranged well before the Earthshot dates were confirmed, noting that his security restrictions often delay public announcements.
