How David Beckham took revenge after fallout with Harry and Meghan
Meghan issued an “exclusion order” during the Invictus, forbidding photos of David and limiting access to Harry
Once among the most famous royal friendships, David Beckham and Prince Harry’s bond has reportedly fractured beyond repair, and it all began with Meghan Markle.
The former footballer and his wife Victoria Beckham were star guests at Harry and Meghan’s 2018 royal wedding, but just months later, the Beckhams were allegedly “frozen out” of the couple’s circle.
In House of Beckham, author Tom Bower claims Meghan issued an “exclusion order” during the Invictus Games, forbidding photos of David and limiting access to Harry.
“David was said to be puzzled as to why Harry wouldn’t meet him,” Bower writes.
“It later transpired the order came from Meghan, who didn’t want any competition from Beckham, especially not from Victoria.”
While his friendship with Harry cooled, David has since forged a strong bond with Prince William, becoming a key ally in the Earthshot Prize and an ambassador for The King’s Foundation.
