Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, reportedly pocketed an astonishing £15 million from the sale of Sunninghill Park, the sprawling Berkshire mansion gifted to him and Sarah Ferguson by Queen Elizabeth II.
Originally built as their marital home, the 12-bedroom estate was handed over as a royal wedding gift in 1986.
But as The Times reveals, the property was quietly transferred into a trust controlled by the late Queen’s financial advisers for just £12,500, before being sold in 2007 to a Kazakh billionaire’s offshore trust for a staggering £15 million.
Around £7.5 million of the profits reportedly went toward refurbishing Royal Lodge, where Andrew and Sarah have lived for over 20 years.
Locals have long complained the once-grand Sunninghill Park now sits derelict behind iron gates and shuttered windows.
