Prince Harry’s close friends have reportedly been left “stunned” by Meghan Markle’s surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week, calling the move “beyond belief.”

According to reports from The Mail Online, Harry’s British circle couldn’t believe Meghan decided to attend such a high-profile event in Paris, a city the Duke of Sussex has largely avoided due to its tragic connection to his mother, Princess Diana, who died there in a car crash in 1997.

Sources close to the couple in California echoed the sentiment, with one reportedly describing the moment as “[expletive] wild,” referring to the global attention Meghan’s attendance at the Balenciaga Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show received.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, made headlines worldwide after sitting front row in an all-white outfit, greeting Vogue’s Anna Wintour and supporting Balenciaga’s new creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli.

“Harry’s friends were astonished,” a source told The Mail Online.

“Given everything that city represents for him, it was just such an unexpected decision from Meghan.”
