Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has been killed in prison by two inmates while serving his 29-year sentence.

The disgraced rock band founder was serving time for heinous crimes, such as child sex offences, exploitation offenses and even the assault of a baby, at the time of the attack.

As per BBC, two men aged 25 and 43 have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of the now-deceased 48-year-old.

Ian was being held at HMP Wakefield, and the West Yorkshire Police have reported that they answered to calls of a prisoner having been seriously assaulted and the paedophile was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although the exact details and the motive of the inmates hasn’t been revealed yet, they two men reportedly used a knife as the murder weapon.

A Prison Service spokesperson stated that they were aware of an incident at the prison but were "unable to comment further while the police investigate".

Ian had also been attacked in 2023, by three other prisoners, which left him with serious injuries.

Notably, the late-musician had admitted to the assault of minors and attempted rape in 2013.
