Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield are showing off their flawless chemistry in a banter-filled interview promoting their newly released film.
The comedian gave The Amazing Spider-Man some context into one of the most viral catchphrases on the internet, with the revelation that she was the one behind it.
In an interview with Bustle, while promoting the crime drama After the Hunt, the 30-year-old referenced a comment she left on Hunter Schaefer’s Instagram last year, which began with “I’m seated,” and how it is now super popular and common.
Andrew’s face was a mix of awe and surprise as he asked The Bear actress, “Did you coin that?” to which she playfully rolled her eyes and admitted, “Yeah.”
The 42-year-old then rightfully noted that he was “shook” at the revelation that she was inventor of the phrase.
Ayo, however humbly noted that there were many things that she has inspired and that her lore is crazy, while adding that this was one of the reasons she had decided to be more offline.
"This is why, like, I've been removing myself online, I'm giving these people too much text for free. I have to focus. I have to give my writing, and we have to get paid for it," she stated.
Notably, the two co-stars showed off their playfulness some more by reflecting on how it felt like the term so old that it seemed like it had been there since caveman times.
