Diane Keaton, who was notable for her role as Adams-Corleone in The Godfather movies, died on October 11, 2025.

The Oscar-winning star had a long-running career of nearly five decades, stunning in different roles and was ambitious to become a singer. 

According to People Magazine, the Annie Hall actress was always authentic as she “lived exactly how she wanted to… on her own terms.”

Diane was carefree as she surrounded herself “by the people and things she really loved,” keeping her priorities straight.

The source noted that “being in the spotlight wasn’t important” for her as she adored her home and beloved pet Reggie, who was celebrated in her last social media post.

Recognised for her confidence in front of the camera, the Golden Globe Awards winner had “a strong sense of who she was and how she wanted to live.”

It was reported that the actress maintained a “close circle” while being “funny right up until the end.”

Her First Wives Club co-star Bette Midler also gushed about her being "original" and “completely without guile, or any competitiveness.”

The comedian admitted that her public persona was exactly “who she was” behind the curtains.
