King Charles fully supports Prince William's plans to modernize the monarchy
William recently gave a rare glimpse into his family life with Princess Kate and their three children
Prince William’s candid remarks about modernizing the monarchy have sparked global discussion, and now a royal expert has revealed how King Charles really feels about his son’s vision for the future.
The Prince of Wales, 43, opened up to Eugene Levy during his appearance on Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler, where he said:
“I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good.”
While William didn’t go into detail, royal historian Robert Lacey told PEOPLE that the King fully supports his son’s forward-thinking approach.
“This shouldn’t be seen as criticism of King Charles,” Lacey explained. “He is very close to his father and has been his most important supporter.”
During his Windsor Castle interview, William also gave a rare glimpse into his family life with Princess Kate and their three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.
The royal dad shared that Louis is “obsessed” with the trampoline, often competing with Charlotte in what he called “healthy sibling chaos.”
