Mary Berry has shared a heartwarming glimpse into Prince William and Kate Middleton’s marriage, and it’s every bit as wholesome as you’d expect.
The beloved Great British Bake Off icon, 90, has known the royal couple for more than a decade and says the Prince of Wales has always been deeply supportive of his wife’s royal journey.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, Mary revealed: “There’s always a little arm around the back, encouraging her."
"Early on, when she started doing public life, he would chip in and say something really nice and encouraging, you know? He’s obviously immensely proud of her.”
The trio have collaborated on several occasions, including the 2019 BBC Christmas special A Very Berry Christmas.
William and Mary also share a connection through Child Bereavement UK, where both serve as patrons.
Praising the future King’s compassion, Berry added: “He slept on the streets, you know. He wants to find out about how everybody is in the country. He lives for all of us. I admire him. He sets an example.”
