Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to reunite for a rare joint appearance in New York City this week which will be their first major public outing together in months.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend the Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala on Thursday, where they will be honoured with the prestigious “Humanitarians of the Year” award.
In a statement ahead of the event, the couple said: “Working with families and young people to prioritize safety online has been some of the most meaningful work of our lives.”
“As parents ourselves, we have been moved to action by the power of their stories and are honored to support them.”
Harry and Meghan have been long-time partners of Project Healthy Minds, having launched their Parents’ Network initiative with the organization last year to raise awareness about online harms faced by children.
Following Thursday’s Gala, the couple will also appear at the World Mental Health Day Festival on October 10, where they’ll represent the Archewell Foundation and deliver speeches.
