Eugene Levy has revealed he had “no interest” in bringing up Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during his now-viral interview with Prince William for Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler.
The Schitt’s Creek actor sat down with the Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle for what has been called William’s most personal interview yet, but Levy made it clear he intentionally steered clear of royal family drama.
Speaking to ITV’s Royal Editor Chris Ship, Levy said: “I was not told that I couldn’t ask anything, but it wasn’t up to me to get into that. I had no interest in asking him about that because it was a very delicate issue. Certainly not up to me to get into it.”
When asked by CNN’s Max Foster whether he was surprised by how emotional the prince became, Levy replied: “It changes what’s important… it might alter how he approaches his future role as King. The world hasn’t seen something like this before.”
