A promotional teaser for the 51st season of Saturday Night Live’s premiere has Taylor Swift’s fans speculating that she will make a surprise appearance at the show.
The swifties seem to have identified the voices of the 14-time Grammy winner, her fiancé and the newlywed Selena Gomez in the short teaser posted by the official account of the comedy sketch show.
In the schedule for fans posted by the Bejeweled singer’s management team, Taylor Nation to celebrate the release of The Life of a Showgirl, there is a slot labeled “Standby” on Saturday, October 4th, which is the premiere date for the episode.
Taylor’s fans believe that the short teaser also has snippets that hint at her presence, such as showgirl items and a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it one of the showgirl cardigan.
Under the teaser for the Saturday episode, fans flooded the comments with remarks like “Taylor, Selena, and Travis’ voices????” and “You can’t tell me this isn’t a showgirl promo.”
Another commentor pointed out that the highly teased exit easter egg, and feathers were also included in the video.
“The word “monologue”, “clock lowering”, and the counting down from 4 gives me Easter egg vibes for Taylor Swift,” a fourth netizen added.
