Justin Baldoni $400 million suit brings more chaos months after dismissal

Justin Baldoni, who is being sued by Blake Lively for sexual harassment, found himself in a tough spot again months after his defamation suit was dismissed.

After the 41-year-old was denied an extension for Taylor Swift’s deposition, Justin faced another setback in the ongoing legal crossfire.

While the defamation case was primarily filed against the actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds, The New York Times hit back at the director with a new case.

According to the court documents, the outlet is asking to “recoup the fees that paid its lawyers to defend itself in the case” which is reportedly $150,000.

The outlet put forward their demands for the director’s company Wayfarer Productions to cover the damage faced by them.

They noted that the actor’s claims lacked a “substantial basis in fact and law” as any “statements in the article… were not actionable.

The Jane the Virgin actor took a legal action against the paper for its story detailing about Blake’s complaints, allegedly facing sexual harassment at the set of It Ends With Us.

The saga began after lead actress of the romantic drama revealed she was harassed by the filmmaker of Colleen Hoover’s movie adaptation.

How did Taylor Swift get involved in Blake Lively case?

In the same suit, the Clouds director also dragged the actress’ best friend for using her influence to introduce changes in the script. 

It was reported that Blake called Taylor one of her "dragons," which greatly impacted their close bond and resulted in a fallout.
