Cheryl Tweedy made a brave return to the public eye on Wednesday night, marking her first official outing since the heartbreaking funeral of ex-partner Liam Payne.

The 42-year-old singer, who shares son Bear with the late star, stepped out at the gala night of Hadestown at London’s Lyric Theatre, proudly supporting Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts who dazzled in the production.

Other famous faces at the glittering gala included Kimberley Walsh, Laura Whitmore, Denise Van Outen and Anneka Rice.

Cheryl stunned in a rich brown suit layered over a turtleneck and wrapped up in a sweeping floor-length coat as she posed for cameras.

Her chic look contrasted the grief that has shadowed her private life in recent months.

Notably, it’s been a turbulent year for the pop icon.

Just last week, her convicted stalker Daniel Bannister, 50, was jailed yet again after breaching a restraining order.

In a harrowing victim statement, the Love Machine singer admitted she feels “on edge every time I open my gate.”

Moreover, friends say she has been in a “really bad place,” though Bear remains her “absolute world.”

A source close to her told The Mirror: “She’s relieved he’s back behind bars but knows he’s done this before. Her only focus now is Bear, and she just wants to mark Liam’s anniversary in peace.”

What happens to Liam Payne?

Liam Payne, the former One Direction star, tragically died on October 16, 2024, at the age of 31, after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
