Mariah Carey, who has awarded with six Grammys, opened up about her heartfelt desire in a recent interview only to receive backlash.

The 56-year-old released her new album Here For It on September 26 after vaguely addressing the ongoing romance rumours.

However, there is something that she would love to be and that is a Super Bowl half time performer.

During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Obsessed singer revealed she is looking forward to perform on the prestigious stage after Bad Bunny was selected.

Contrary to the expected response, Mariah’s wish was not welcomed by the online community as one X user pointed out that “it would be absolute chaos in the best.”

Another admirer penned down their opinion that her “last album was absolute garbage,” while a third netizen recalled that the songstress “kinda say before she wasn’t up for it.”

Referring to the reports about her being "high maintenance," a critic speculated that the It’s a Wrap crooner will “complain about the lighting and freak out.”

In a previous interview, the Grammy winning artist responded to the backlash on her being demanding, pointing out that she “deserve[s] to be at this point.”

Who is headlining Super Bowl 2026?

This came after much consideration, NFL announced Bad Bunny as the headliner of the halftime show for Super Bowl 2026. Jay-Z, the founder of RocNation, appreciated the 31-year-old for his contribution towards the Puerto Ricans.
