Prince Harry’s hopes of quietly slipping back into royal life have been firmly dismissed by palace insiders.
Despite speculation that his recent charity trip and private tea with King Charles marked the beginning of a “reset,” courtiers are adamant the Duke of Sussex will not return as a “half-in, half-out” royal.
Royal sources told the Daily Mail that the monarchy’s focus remains solely on the King and his heir, Prince William.
One insider bluntly said Harry’s brief chat with his father was hardly “the Treaty of Versailles” and warned that his team’s attempts to spin the meeting into something bigger have only further eroded trust.
While his passion for charitable work remains, his official royal role has not shifted. “Harry is an outsider now - a visitor, not a working royal,” the source said.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly considering returning to the UK “four or five times a year” to attend public events and support his causes.
