Tyler Posey recently revealed a surprising update on a possible Teen Wolf film sequel.
In conversation with People magazine, the 33-year-old actor admitted he wanted to see more of the characters and the world after the 2023 film.
He said, “So I wrote the second film. I’m trying to get that one made, and then I have an idea for the third.”
The star, who led the 2011 series for six seasons as Scott McCall, confessed that he took matters into his own hands.
He added, “Or we’re just going to do a TV series, but there will be more, and I’m going to spearhead it. I want it really bad.”
Tyler also opened up how Paramount Studios, which had a three-picture deal for a Teen Wolf film, “abandoned ship after the first movie.”
Notably, in 2023, the cast, including Tyler, returned for the highly anticipated film, which brought back fan-favourite actors, including Crystel Reed, whose character had died in the show.
Although Dylan O’Brien, who played Stiles, didn’t return much to netizens' disappointment, the series was a success on the streaming platform. It follows an older Scott McCall, who reunites his pack to face an ancient evil: the Nogitsune.
The Maid in Manhattan actor added that the script needs a couple of rewrites since he penned it a few years ago, but the story has been drafted.
As of now, Tyler hasn’t provided any further details about the plot of the possible sequel.
No, though he hasn’t been seen in any recent films, Tyler Posey expressed his desire to shift his career towards producing and directing movies.
