Prince Harry is said to be feeling the “pangs of exile” after being publicly sidelined by US President Donald Trump during his glittering state banquet speech at Windsor Castle this week.
The 79-year-old US leader was hosted by King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the wider Royal Family during his unprecedented second state visit.
While Trump showered praise on the monarchy, his speech drew attention for one striking omission.
Speaking to the 160-strong guest list inside St George’s Hall, Trump lauded the King’s eldest son, saying: “His Majesty has also raised a remarkable son in His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. Really amazing. We've gotten to know you and I think you're going to have unbelievable success in the future.”
Notably absent was any mention of Prince Harry, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 alongside Meghan Markle.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk that while Harry “would not have expected a mention,” the wording “carried the implication the King only has one remarkable son.”
Fitzwilliams added the omission is likely to have deepened Harry’s sense of separation from his family, despite recent attempts to reconcile with King Charles.
