Prince Harry 'quietly' slipped into Kensington Palace during UK visit
Harry also met his father King Charles for tea at Clarence House, their first face-to-face meeting in 19 months
Prince Harry quietly made a visit to Kensington Palace during his recent trip to the UK, despite missing a major royal event that brought the family together.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, returned for four days last week, taking part in charity and patronage engagements.
He also met his father King Charles for tea at Clarence House, their first face-to-face meeting in 19 months.
But while senior royals, including the King, Prince William and Princess Kate, attended the Duchess of Kent’s historic funeral at Westminster Cathedral on Tuesday, Harry was notably absent.
Instead, reports claim the duke made a discreet stop at Kensington Palace “to personally pay his respects and offer condolences” to the Duke of Kent.
After leaving London, Harry travelled to Ukraine for events linked to his Invictus Games Foundation.
A source close to him told Hello!: “His only regret was not being able to stay longer and see more people. But the meetings in Ukraine had been in the diary for a long time, and it mattered to him to be there in person.”
