Donald Trump snubs Prince Harry with subtle swipe in Banquet speech

Donald Trump raised eyebrows during his Windsor Castle state banquet speech after appearing to take a thinly veiled swipe at Prince Harry.

While praising King Charles III and the Royal Family, the US President singled out Prince William, calling him a “remarkable son” with an “unbelievable success in the future.”

But notably, there was no mention of Prince Harry, 40, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and now lives in California with Meghan Markle.

The omission immediately fuelled speculation that Trump was deliberately drawing attention to Harry’s estrangement from the monarchy.

Though not openly critical, the subtle sideline was widely seen as a pointed reminder of Harry’s absence from frontline royal life.

The president went on to lavish praise on King Charles, saying he had preserved “the glorious and unique character of this kingdom.”

He called his UK trip “one of the highest honours of my life” and reflected on his long-standing admiration for Britain.
