Music icon David Bowie’s last ever project has come to light 9 years after his death.

The English singer was working on a secret project before his death in 2016, shortly after releasing his last album Blackstar.

The Heroes singer passed away in New York on January 10, 2016 after suffering from liver cancer.

The singer was working on an “18th century musical” before his tragic death.

The project has been revealed to be The Spectator.

David had kept the project a secret even from his closest collaborators but the notes were found locked in his study after his death.

The notes have been donated to the V+A Museum. Along with the notes, his other archival items have also been donated for a new exhibition.

According to BBC, the notes featured David’s interest in the development or art and satire in 18th century London. It also included stories of criminals.

Included in the 90,000 items is an entire notebook devoted to daily periodical The Spectator, which was published between 1711 and 1712.

The archives will be available to view when the V+A Storehouse in east London opens its David Bowie Centre on 13 September.
