Kylie Jenner celebrated her 28th birthday with an intimate gathering, though all eyes immediately turned to the absence of her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared a dreamy series of film-style snaps on Thursday, 4 September, captioning the carousel, “bday film.”

The photos offered a rare glimpse into Kylie’s cosy celebration, featuring her sister Kendall Jenner, close friends, and her children, Stormi, seven, and Aire, three.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder looked stunning in a black two-piece set with a gothic cross necklace, later switching into a lace-underlay outfit for dinner.

While the 29-year-old actor was absent from both the celebration and the post, fans were quick to speculate. 

The couple, who have been dating for nearly two years, were last seen together in Budapest on 19 August amid Timothée’s filming of Dune: Part Three.

Despite his absence, Kylie’s birthday maintained a sweet and intimate vibe.

Whether the Wonka actor’s no-show was simply due to scheduling conflicts or something more, the post has sparked widespread online chatter. 

The mum of two has long shown effort in the relationship, from following Chalamet on Instagram to visiting him during his hectic schedule. 

This time, however, she may be sending a subtle message by leaving him out of her birthday carousel.
