Leonardo DiCaprio pays emotional farewell to Giorgio Armani

Leonardo DiCaprio, who is gearing up for his new film One Battle After Another, was among the first to pay tribute to fashion icon Giorgio Armani.

The 50-year-old Oscar winner hailed Armani as a “visionary” and a “genius”, recalling how he first met him years ago in Milan and was instantly “blown away by his creativity”.

Posting a heartfelt message on Instagram, DiCaprio wrote, “He was a legendary force who inspired generations, and his legacy will continue to shape and uplift the world for years to come.”

Furthermore, actress Michelle Pfeiffer, who fronted a string of Armani campaigns, admitted she was “heartbroken” at the news.

Sharing throwback snaps with the designer, the Scarface star said, “Kind, generous and loyal. A true pioneer of elegance. A global inspiration. And today, a massive loss for all.”

She added it was an “honour and privilege” to have worked alongside him on so many milestones in her life.

Moreover, the former footballer David Beckham also remembered the designer with a touching post, calling him “kind, generous, humble and a true gentleman… One of a kind.”

Reportedly, the legendary designer passed away aged 91, and his death was later confirmed by his fashion house.

The company praised his “vision, passion, and dedication” and vowed to carry forward his remarkable legacy.
