Selena Gomez’s mother issues statement after drug abuse allegation

Selena Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefey has directly addressed he scandal surrounding her behaviour at her mental health company, Wonderland.

The film producer was accused of puffing drugs at the establishment by an ex-employee after a reportedly mass layoff that occurred back in May.

Meanwhile the popstar’s mother issued a statement talking about the shocking claims came to light, answering “Absolutely not,” when asked if she had ever done such at thing at the office, as per The Cut.

The former staffer had accused her of ingesting Ritalin, which is a stimulant prescribed to treat attention-defecit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and the 49-year-old has been prescribed the medicine.

"I started Wondermind because I wanted to help people with mental illness. It’s unfortunate that a few disgruntled employees with an ax to grind can spread lies about me and distort the truth. Even more disappointing that the media is willing to amplify their lies,” Mandy told the outlet.

The company began in 2021, and helps support individuals by aiding their mental “fitness” journey by providing them with resources such as interviews, podcasts and articles.
