Prince William jokes back after Kate Middleton laughs at his balding tease

Former royal butler Grant Harrold has revealed a hilarious story about Prince William’s hair, and Kate Middleton’s reaction.

Speaking while promoting his new memoir The Royal Butler, Harrold recalled how casual kitchen chats with William and Harry often echoed the warmth of their late mother, Princess Diana. 

“You hear stories about their mother sitting in the kitchens chatting with staff. The nice thing was her boys were the same,” he said.

But one day, the conversation turned to aging, and hair loss. 

“I said, ‘From a man’s point of view, the worst is when you start going bald,’” Harrold remembered. 

“Kate started sniggering, and I looked at William, who leaned forward and said, ‘Thanks, Grant!’ while showing his hairline.”

William, however, later had his revenge. After Harrold returned from a botched fake tan session in Bath, both Charles and Camilla teased him about smelling like an “Oompa Loompa.” 

Soon after, William and Kate joined in on the fun. 

“William asked if it had gone everywhere, then demanded to see my orange toes!” Harrold laughed.

“He thought it was brilliant. He got his own back,” Harrold added.
