Meghan Markle faces backlash for 'exploiting' her kids to promote Netflix show

Meghan Markle has been accused of “exploiting” her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after sharing behind-the-scenes photos of them from her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, posted a series of images on her official Instagram account, @meghan, earlier this week. The photos included rare glimpses of her children on set. 

One shot showed Archie and Lilibet wearing headphones while watching a screen, while another captured Lilibet with her back to the camera, seated on a chair. 

Archie was also pictured holding a clapboard, though his face was partially obscured with a heart emoji.

Royal expert Hugo Vickers told The Sun that Prince Harry “ought to be extremely annoyed” about the decision to feature their children. 

“What worries me more is what the children themselves are going to think when they get a little bit older and realise how they’ve been exploited,” he said. 

Vickers also pointed out that Archie and Lilibet, now six and four, have yet to meet their royal cousins in the UK.

Despite the criticism, a crew member told PEOPLE that Meghan was “super attentive and doting” on set, often giving her kids headphones so they could safely listen to the audio.
