King Charles may be preparing to finally heal his strained relationship with Prince Harry during the Duke’s visit to the UK next week, according to insiders.
The monarch, 76, is said to be open to meeting his youngest son while Harry attends the WellChild Awards on September 8.
If it happens, the reunion would be the pair’s first face-to-face meeting since February 2024.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold, who worked with Charles for seven years, has now revealed the real reason the King wants peace: he simply wants everyone “to be happy” and “get on.”
Speaking to GB News, Harrold explained: “I know what the King’s like, he likes everyone to be happy. He likes everyone to get on. So you can guarantee the King without question wants it resolved.”
He also noted recent talks between Harry’s team and palace aides as proof that “something is going on.”
While Charles appears keen on reconciliation, Prince William reportedly sees it differently.
A close friend told The Royalist that William believes a meeting is a “terrible idea,” though he respects his father’s decision.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor Harry has confirmed whether a meeting will take place.
