Sabrina Carpenter, who recently released her album Man’s Best Friend, shocked fans with her latest move.
Although the 26-year-old has already unleashed her single Tears music video, Sabrina decided to add a twist to the story.
In the video, which was praised for its visuals and energy, the Espresso hitmaker describes qualities of a man she likes.
However, the Grammy winner introduced an alternative ending to the clip which first ended with the singer killing her lover with her heel.
According to the new climax, the lover dies after a tree falls on him before he could understand Sabrina’s warning to “move over.”
After the snippet began to make rounds on the internet, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise the artist for her creativity.
One of the fans admired the fact that she knows “how to reel the people in,” another netizen admitted that she’s “unmatched” for putting in so much efforts in to her work.
Many compared the two endings and declared that the new one “beats the original,” applauding her for switching up the “experience” of the story
The new ending adds another layer to the plot, confirming her own statement that in every music video “someone needs to die.”
Meanwhile, the songstress has collaborated with Taylor Swift on her title track of upcoming The Life of A Showgirl, which is expected to release on October 3, 2024.
