Meghan Markle may have just given viewers a new wellness obsession in season two of With Love, Meghan

While cooking and crafting alongside celebrity friends like Chrissy Teigen, Tan France and Jay Shetty, the Duchess of Sussex spotlighted a simple yet powerful ingredient: rose.

But Meghan wasn’t talking about rosé wine. Instead, she praised the flower itself as “anti-inflammatory” and a natural powerhouse, and science backs her up.

Studies show that different parts of the rose, from petals to fruit and even bark, can be used across cosmetics, culinary recipes, and medicine.

Rose hips, in particular, are packed with vitamin C, carotenoids, bioflavonoids and other compounds that support skin health, immunity and wound healing.

NHS guidance also highlights the role vitamin C plays in keeping blood vessels, bones and cartilage healthy.

Beyond nutrition, research published in ScienceDirect shows rose can help with stress, anxiety, menstrual disorders and even sleep quality.

In one clinical trial, Rosa damascena aromatherapy significantly reduced anxiety and improved sleep in cardiac patients.

With benefits ranging from skincare to calming aromatherapy, Meghan’s go-to flower proves it’s far more than just a pretty bloom.
