Meghan Markle delivered a cutting response when asked about US President Donald Trump during a new interview with Emily Chang.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, appeared on The Circuit YouTube show on Tuesday, the same day season two of With Love, Meghan hit Netflix.
During the 46-minute sit-down, Chang pressed Meghan on her past criticism of Trump.
Back in 2016, the former actress branded him “divisive and misogynistic,” adding, “You don’t really want that kind of world.”
Asked if there were things she now wanted to say but felt she couldn’t, Meghan gave a blunt answer: “No, I just make a choice of what matters to me and what’s important to me."
"That was a different time in 2016, certainly. If there’s anything I wanted to say, I would say it, but that’s not where I’m at right now.”
She also stressed that she has not made any political comments since before marrying Prince Harry.
When pressed further on America’s direction amid political unrest, Meghan shifted focus: “I just hope people are able to maintain the values that matter to them… and remember our humanity with each other through it all.”
