Meghan Markle is facing backlash after fans and commentators noticed a glaring omission in the second season of With Love, Meghan.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, who has often spoken proudly about her Nigerian heritage, was criticised for failing to include any traditional Nigerian food in her cooking and lifestyle series.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show, commentator Samara Gill said: “I would have loved to see some traditional meals for the Nigerian side she talks about having."
"It was missing, in my opinion. She’s been very vocal about her Nigerian roots, so to leave it out here was confusing.”
Meghan previously revealed she is 43 percent Nigerian after taking a genealogy test, and even referred to Nigeria as “my country” during a visit with Prince Harry last year.
At the time, she praised Nigerian women as “brave, resilient, courageous and beautiful.”
Samara suggested Meghan could have “brought in a famous Nigerian chef” or showcased a dish to celebrate her roots.
The criticism comes as Meghan continues promoting her lifestyle brand As Ever, while balancing her Netflix commitments.
All eight episodes of With Love, Meghan season two are now streaming on Netflix.
