Disney finally settles firing lawsuit with ‘Star Wars’ actress Gina Carano

Disney has finally brought to a settlement a years long dispute over the alleged wrongful termination of Star Wars actress, Gina Carano.

"I have come to an agreement with Disney/Lucasfilm @disney @Lucasfilm which I believe is the best outcome for all parties involved. I hope this brings some healing to the force… I hope to make you proud. I am excited to flip the page and move onto the next chapter. My desires remain in the arts, which is where I hope you will join me," she announced in a statement.

She had been fired from her role as Cara Dune in The Mandalorian back in 2021 after she made a post comparing being a Conservative to a Jewish person during the Holocaust.

Having frequently and publicly opposed movements like Black Lives Matter and COVID lockdowns, she then shared an image of a brutally beaten Jewish woman during the German occupation of WWII, and compared the abuse to criticism faced by Conservatives.

"Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…. even by children, because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?" Carano had written.

"The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Gina Carano to resolve the issues in her pending lawsuit against the companies. Ms. Carano was always well respected by her directors, co-stars, and staff, and she worked hard to perfect her craft while treating her colleagues with kindness and respect. With this lawsuit concluded, we look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future," said Disney after the settlement. 

People took to social media to comment on the situation, as one user joked, "it's really important to separate the art from the artist in situations like this. yes, gina carano is a conservative crank who hates t**** people and thinks the 2020 election was stolen. but she is also the single worst actor I have ever seen in my life."

Another observed, "funniest thing to me about the gina carano kerfuffle is that I'm old enough to remember every anti-woke grifter flipping out when she showed up on mandalorian. who is this BUFF WOMAN in my star wars? then she revealed herself as a chud and they promptly claimed her as A New Hope."
