The Walking Dead star Kelley Mack’s sudden demise left the world in shock after her recovery from cancer.
As per TMZ, a family source explained that the 33-year-old actress was making a “nice recovery’ after undergoing chemotherapy in February. However, her cancer suddenly relapsed and spread throughout her body.
Messages of mourning poured in from netizens on social media, as one fan wrote, “That is just awful to hear.” Another user penned, “I remember her from TWD.... so sad to hear her passing.”
Kelley’s representative revealed that the Chicago Med actress was auditioning for roles in June, specifically for handicapped characters, since she was in a wheelchair.
Notably, in January, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called diffuse midline glioma, which attacks the central nervous system. Kelley underwent treatments in Cincinnati to remain close to her family.
On August 16, the voiceover artist will be honoured at a celebration of life ceremony in Glendale, Ohio, and a memorial is planned in Los Angeles for her friends and colleagues.
The actress's sister took to Instagram on August 6 to share the heartbreaking news. She wrote in the caption, "It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley."
For the unversed, Kelley’s final film, Universal, is currently premiering at film festivals. She filmed the movie last year.
