Brandon Blackstock, who was married to Kelly Clarkson for nearly a decade, has passed away at 48 due to a chronic illness.
The talent manager had four children daughter Savannah and son Seth, as well as two with the three-time Grammy winner, named River, 11, and Remington, nine.
The father-of-four’s representative issued a statement on August 7 noting, “"It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away."
"Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time,” the statement concluded.
In a statement a day prior, on August 6, the Broken & Beautiful singer had announced in a social media post that she would be postponing her shows this month.
Kelly reasoned that she wanted to spend time with her children, since their father has been battling an illness, which has now been revealed to be cancer.
The late-manager and Kelly had kept the details of their relationship and struggles under wraps, with the talk show host only opening up about their love story soon after they split, in her 2023 album Chemistry.
As per TMZ, Brandon Blackstock was in hospice and was battling Melanoma, which is a kind of skin cancer.
