Taylor Swift skipped MGK’s performance after Travis Kelce lost Super Bowl final

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have united the world of sports and pop culture ever since they started dating.

In February, when Travis’ team Kansas chiefs made it to the final of the NFL Super Bowl, Taylor was present in the audience cheering for her partner, however his team lost.

Machine Gun Kelly, also known as MGK, revealed an incident from the night how Taylor skipped his performance from the after party.

In an interview with ABC News, the rapper said he invited the couple to attend his performance and was “stoked” when they accepted the invitation initially.

“was in Travis's suite, and at the beginning of it Taylor was like, 'Hell yeah we're gonna come watch you perform,' like it's gonna be crazy tonight.”, he recalled.

However, when it was evident that Travis’ team was about to lose, MGK went up to the pop star and asked her if she would be coming. Taylor in response excused herself and said it would not be possible.

The rapper said that he went on to write a song that was inspired from the afterparty titled Don’t Wait Run Fast. The song will feature on his upcoming album Lost Americana, which is set to release on Friday.

The event was a testing point of relationship for Taylor and Travis who had only enjoyed success together so far but now was the time for their relationship to be tested as the pop star was also booed at the stadium by the crowd.

She turned to her social media story to share a review of the comedy film, starring Adam Sandler.

The singer gushed about the newly released project, admitting it had her “cackling and cheering” through the film. She added: “An absolute must watch 13/10.”
