Rita Ora to replace Kelly Ripa on Live show?

Rita Ora appeared as a guest co-host alongside Mark Consuelos for Wednesday’s episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, temporarily stepping in for Kelly Ripa.

Kelly’s sudden absence from the popular daytime show has left viewers curious.

The 54-year-old television presenter has been off the air since 1 August, enjoying a well-earned summer break.

In the meantime, her husband and co-host Mark has kept the programme running, joined by a rotation of well-known guest hosts.

Earlier in the week, Jackie Tohn and Jenna Dewan featured on the show, with Rita taking over midweek.

During Monday’s episode, the father of three shared a touching moment with Jackie, recalling their first meeting.

“When Kelly and I walked away after meeting you, we both said, ‘She’d be a brilliant stand-in,’” he said warmly.

Clearly moved, the GLOW actress replied, “Really? That makes me want to cry. Thank you.”

Jenna, known for Step Up, later shared her excitement on social media, calling it “the most fun day.”

“I love this,” she said. “I get to come and do this great, fun job.”

According to sources, the Emmy-winning host is expected to return on 11 August.
