Oscar-winning singer and actress Lady Gaga hasn’t appeared in Wednesday Season 2’s first batch of episodes, yet the showrunners have given clear signals that her debut is coming soon.
Gaga has long been confirmed to make her appearance in the gothic-thriller series.
And let’s be honest, there couldn’t be a better person to join the eerie cast of Wednesday. Gaga’s personality and taste align perfectly with the show’s dark charm.
But here’s the bad news, Gaga’s fans will have to wait until next month for her to show up.
Since Wednesday Season 2’s two-part release began, the creators have kept the Abracadabra hitmaker’s character under wraps. There haven’t been many details shared, nor has the character been shown in trailers or promos.
However, the showrunners have left hints in part one of the season for fans who love to dig into the details.
And let’s be honest, Wednesday is all about digging up old, hidden graves, like The Skull Tree.
When it comes to Gaga’s role, there have been two clear, vivid clues pointing to her character.
Clue 1: Morticia staying at “Rotwood Cottage” in Nevermore.
This season, Wednesday’s brother Pugsley joins her at the Nevermore Academy, but he’s not the only new arrival.
Principal Dort asks Morticia to become the chair of the Gala Fundraising Committee, providing her with accommodation on campus.
Wednesday’s mum stays in the house Marilyn Thornhill previously used before her arrest, known as Rotwood Cottage.
Although Netflix hasn’t revealed much about Gaga’s role, it has confirmed that her character’s name is Rosaline Rotwood, described as “a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.”
The cottage’s name is a clear connection to Gaga’s character. It’s safe to assume she once lived there while working as a teacher but has since left Nevermore.
Clue 2: Gaga’s character joins the Gala as an alumna for Dort.
After Morticia takes over Rotwood Cottage and agrees to be on the gala committee, she gives the space her own personal touch.
As Principal Dort counts on alumni for the big Gala, Gaga’s Rosaline could make an appearance due to her history with Nevermore.
Put simply, the Gala event seems like the perfect chance for Gaga to debut, but let’s be honest, Netflix plays its cards close to its chest.
Wednesday Season 2, Part 2, is expected to release on 2 September, alongside the drop of Gaga’s new song Dead Dance.
