Sarah Ferguson wasn’t too thrilled when Princess Diana got to meet the former’s crush, JFK Jr.

According to an excerpt from the new book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, published by the Daily Mail on August 4, author Andrew Lownie claims the Duchess of York had a full-on “schoolgirl crush” on the late American heartthrob and even plotted to meet him in New York.

After learning JFK Jr. was staying at the same hotel, Fergie reportedly invited him for drinks or dinner.

When told he was dating Daryl Hannah, she allegedly replied, “That’s not going to bother me!” But it bothered Hannah.

Kennedy ultimately cancelled, claiming a prior engagement, prompting Fergie’s staff to spy on his apartment all night to verify his excuse, Lownie writes.

The book says things escalated when Ferguson discovered Diana had already met Kennedy for 30 minutes during a 1995 hotel meeting. “She was furious: ‘He’s mine! Why can’t she just leave him alone?’” Lownie claims.

She even gave him a code name — “Number Nine” — and obsessively collected swimsuit photos, debated what parts of her personality he’d like, and gushed about him to friends.

“She spends hours talking about him,” a confidante revealed. “The fact that she’s never even met him doesn’t seem to matter at all.”

Lownie says other celebrity crushes included Kevin Costner, Tiger Woods, and George Clooney.

But unlike JFK Jr., she did eventually meet Woods — and stayed in touch.
