In a rare and heartwarming glimpse into royal family dynamics, Prince Harry once revealed an unexpected Christmas gift that Queen Elizabeth sent to his son, Prince Archie, at the request of Meghan Markle.
Speaking on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2021, the Duke of Sussex opened up about his life in Montecito with Meghan and their two young children.
During the interview, Harry shared that the late Queen had asked what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meghan had a specific answer: a waffle maker.
“Interestingly, my grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker. She sent us a waffle maker for Archie,” Harry recalled.
“My son is now over a year and a half. He is hysterical. He's got the most amazing personality. He's already putting two or three words together, and he's already singing songs,” Harry added.
Harry went on to describe how the Queen’s thoughtful gift became a breakfast staple in their household.
“Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix in the waffle maker, flips it, and out it comes, he loves it,” he said.
“Now I have waffles for breakfast, a bit of yoghurt, a bit of jam on top. I don't know if that's the right thing to do,” he joked.
