Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing renewed criticism over what a royal commentator has called a “confused strategy” in their public and professional life.
The Duke and Duchess of Susses's recent attempts at reconciliation with the royal family have left commentators puzzled over their long-term approach.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, news commentator Samara Gill issued a scathing six-word verdict: “I don’t see it going anywhere.”
“They need to choose. I just don't agree with this hybrid situation. They're like typical millennial royals who want to do, like, gig economy jobs in the Royal Family or something.”
Her comments come after reports that two of Prince Harry’s aides held a discreet meeting in London with King Charles’ communications secretary, Tobyn Andreae.
The informal gathering, said to have taken place not far from Buckingham Palace was reportedly greenlit by both Harry and the King, though neither attended the meeting themselves.
The timing of their last direct conversation remains unknown.
While Harry has expressed an interest in reconciling with his family, experts argue the couple’s media projects have complicated the path forward.
With their five-year Netflix deal set to expire in September 2025 and no confirmed extension in place, speculation continues to mount over what’s next for the Sussexes.
